Ivan Stankevich: Zoom has released an emergency patch to close the vulnerability with webcams on macOS. It made it possible to enable them remotely
Zoom Video Call Service has released an emergency patch to close the vulnerability that allows you to remotely turn on webcams on macOS. The update will remove the local servers that caused the problem from users' computers. This is stated in an amended statement on the Zoom website.
At first, Zoom defended its position and did not intend to make changes to the program, but changed its mind when the publication about the vulnerability from the researcher Jonathan Leitshuh was distributed in the media. Ivan Stankevich reports
